CSI - Sonny Cease, Executive Director

Recently, members of the Association presented a real-life version of the television drama to youths attending the Summer Youth Enrichment Camp sponsored by Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. This five (5) day program provided students (age 12-14) with a hands-on experience of crime scene investigation. Students investigated a mock crime scene, photographed and videotaped the scene, gathered physical evidence, interviewed witnesses and prepared their case for trial before a judge. From the reactions by the students and responses from the administrators, the class was a huge success. Members of the Association who participated were: Sonny Cease (retired), coordinator; Rodney Brewer (retired); Rob Miller (retired); Jerry Nauert (retired); Sgt. Travis Tennill, Community Relations; and Honorable Bob Fleck, Jefferson County Attorney's Office; Honorable Finis Price; Law Office of Decamillis and Mattingly, Louisville, KY. Bellarmine University donated $250 to Trooper Island in appreciation for the training and education provided.
